Northmont City Schools will be holding three College Credit Plus Informational Meetings for your convenience as follows:
Monday, January 27, 2020, 6:30 p.m. Northmont Community Auditorium
Tuesday, April 14, 2020, 1:30 p.m. Northmont Community Auditorium
Thursday, April 16, 2020, 7:30 a.m. Northmont Community Auditorium
College Credit Plus is a program open to 7th through 12th grade students where students may earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously. These meetings will discuss College Credit Plus opportunities for the 2020-2021 school year while also reviewing advantages and disadvantages of the program. Attendance by both students and parents at one of these meetings is mandatory if interested in the program next school year. The law also requires that the school be given written notification of a student’s intent to participate in this program by April 1. Intent to Participate forms can be found in the Northmont Middle School Counseling Center or Northmont High School Counseling Center on and after January 27.
It is strongly encouraged that both students and parents attend the January 27 meeting if possible as this will allow them to complete other steps of the application process early.
Current College Credit Plus students/parents during the 2019-2020 school year are not required to attend but still must submit an Intent to Participate form by April 1.
