In honor of Women's History Month in March, freshman students have been researching women who have changed the course of world history. To kick off the research, a total of 25 extraordinary women from the Dayton area visited Northmont High School to share their wisdom and experiences. Students learned about ways in which these women overcame obstacles, broke boundaries, and accomplished great things to make a positive impact in their community. It served as a way to connect students to individuals who model the skills that embody what it means to be productive, responsible citizens. The social studies department would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the woman who participated and made a remarkably positive impact on our students:
Cassie Barlow- CEO of Southwestern Council for Higher Education
Robin Spiller- Northmont graduate with 40 years of service at NHS in various roles including head softball coach, girls basketball coach, volleyball coach, assistant principal, and athletic director.
Terra Spears- NMS WEB Coordinator and Parent/New Family Liason
Susanne Lintz- Northmont graduate who currently serves as Assistant Superintendent/Director of CIT at Northmont City Schools.
Sandy Gudorf- President of Downtown Dayton Partnership
Dr. Tina Hummons- Associate Registrar-Daily Operations at Sinclair Community College
Michelle Littlejohn- Manager of Fast Forward Center at Sinclair Community College
Cheryl Wood- Administrative Assistant at Miami Valley Works. Published author and entrepreneur.
Holli Gover- Assistant Principal at Northmont Middle School and member of Northmont Lions Club and Equity Fellows for Montgomery County
Kelly Mofield- Director of Communications at University of Dayton School of Engineering
Jessie Zink- District gifted coordinator, 9-12 curriculum specialist, and grant manager for Northmont City Schools.

Judy Dodge- Montgomery County Commissioner. 2012 Women of Influence Honoree by the Dayton YWCA and 2003 Dayton Daily News Top Ten Women.
Jill Kingston- Northmont graduate and Executive Director at Brigid's Path
Janice Allen- Trotwood-Madison City School District treasurer/chief financial officer.
Kris Mangen- Northmont graduate and current middle school teacher who is a member of the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
