Preschool Registration Information

February 17, 2021

Dear Preschool Parents,

The Ohio Department of Education has a requirement for the number of hours licensed preschool programs must be in session each year. With the decision to delay the start of school this year until September 1st, that only left room for three snow days in the preschool calendar. Yesterday was our 3rd snow day of the year. In the event that we have another snow day this year, we will begin offering Remote Learning days to make up for the lost instructional time. This applies to the preschool only at this time. K-12 students are not currently impacted.

Our Remote Learning days will be on Fridays beginning in March if we need to schedule them. Your child’s teacher may choose to send paper copies of work to complete at home or may post assignments in Seesaw as they did at the beginning of the year. Please look for a communication from your child’s teacher about Remote Learning plans in the event that we have another snow day. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Noelle Leingang, Preschool Director

January 10, 2021

Good evening KELC Families!
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, January 11, 2021, we welcome back our face-to-face students at the Kleptz Early Learning Center.  School hours for our face-to-face students will remain the same as the first semester.  Kindergarten and First Grade students may enter the building at 9:00 am.  The late bell rings at 9:20 am.  Students will be dismissed one hour early following our staggered dismissal times by hallways.  Green and Yellow hallways are dismissed at 2:45 pm with Blue and Orange Hallways dismissed at 2:55 pm.

Fridays will be our remote learning day.
Preschool students will follow their scheduled AM and PM times.

We hope you have a wonderful evening!

Sincerely,
Dr. Beth Wyandt, Principal
Mrs. Noelle Leingang, Preschool Director/Assistant Principal

Message from the Nurse - September 2, 2020
Good afternoon KELC Families!
We are so excited that the school year has started! If you have not already turned the physical examination and immunization forms in, we would like to remind you that the Ohio Revised Code 3313.671 requires Immunizations to be complete by the 15th day of school attendance (9/22/20). The Ohio Department of Health has told the Northmont Nurses that, even though we are remote, they still expect immunization compliance as in other years. Also, Northmont policy states a physical is required for all Kindergarten students and first-grade students new to Northmont Schools. If your child will require prescription medication at school, we must receive a doctor’s order annually to administer these. Forms are available on the Northmont Homepage under the forms link or from the Nurse. You can fax completed forms to (937) 832-6751, email them to
aphelps@northmontschools.net, or mail them to: 1100 W. National Rd Englewood, OH 45322. If you have any questions, please call (937) 832-6758.

 Thank you!

 Amy Phelps, KELC School Nurse
